You will be familiar with Health and Safety management and the preparation of Risk Assessments and COSHH documentation.
You will be able to demonstrate practical experience of micro-CT scanning and data processing in either biological, geological or palaeontological sciences.
You will understand the underlying principles behind micro-CT scanning and be able to explain this to range of different users.
You will have some experience of 1st-line maintenance of a micro-~CT scanner.
You will have experience in working as part of a team and in working to deadlines.
You will have good problem-solving skills and an ability to understand and correct the most common imaging artefacts.
You will be able to train users in both data acquisition and the use of software packages.
You will be able to host tours of the labs and explain the role of the laboratory and describe our research to visitors from a variety of different backgrounds.
You will have experience in maintaining image databases.
